We, a foreign export company, recently had a discussion with a British customer regarding the purchase of 500 sets of ice hockey sticks. After discussing the details of the order for a week, we finally reached an agreement and the customer signed the payment instruction (PI) document. The customer requested that we send them our bank account number for bank transfer.
After sending the bank account number, the customer suddenly requested that we accept euros instead of dollars. Unfortunately, our company only accepts dollars. Therefore, we recommended to the customer the use of a payment guarantee service, such as WorldPay, which can protect the buyer's payment, quality, and delivery. If the buyer is dissatisfied with the product or service, they can apply for a refund. Additionally, the payment can be made using a credit or debit card.
The customer was hesitant to use a payment guarantee service due to their confusion about its use. However, we quickly explained the benefits of using a payment guarantee service to the customer, including the protection of their payment, quality, and delivery. We also emphasized that the customer could use their credit or debit card to make the payment.
After hearing our explanation, the customer accepted our recommendation and arranged for the payment guarantee service. Shortly after, we received the payment and were able to proceed with the production process.
