Bath Bomb
Private Label Bath Bomb Manufacturer

Poleview is a China-based personal care OEM/ODM manufacturer supporting beauty, bath, wellness and gifting brands with private label and custom bath bomb development.
We manufacture classic, botanical, multi-color, novelty, surprise and gift-set bath bombs, with flexible options for formula, fragrance, size, shape, visual effects, custom molds and retail packaging.
Some customers begin with an existing product direction and want a faster private label launch. Others come to us with a specific fragrance, shape, color effect or packaging concept that needs to be developed into a product suitable for commercial production. In both cases, our team can support the project from sampling and product development through molding, drying, packaging and bulk production.

Bath Bomb Product Types We Manufacture
Bath bomb collections can be developed in very different directions. For a brand, the most practical starting point is usually to define the intended customer, retail positioning and visual experience before selecting fragrances or adding more SKUs.

Classic Bath Bombs
Classic round bath bombs provide a flexible foundation for private label programs. Fragrance, color, weight and packaging can be changed across several SKUs while keeping the basic production structure relatively simple.
Botanical & Natural-Looking Bath Bombs
Natural bath bombs can be developed with selected dried botanicals, mineral salts, oils and natural-looking color directions to support spa, botanical and wellness-oriented collections. The visual ingredients should be considered together with stability and packaging rather than added only for decoration.
Kids & Surprise Bath Bombs
Kids bath bombs can add a playful visual experience to children's and gifting ranges, while surprise bath bombs may include toys, charms or collectible concepts. Insert size, product design, packaging and destination-market requirements should be reviewed before the final concept is approved.
Rainbow & Color-Effect Bath Bombs
Layered colors, hidden cores, swirls and rainbow bath bombs can create a more distinctive bath experience. These designs require tighter control of color distribution and production repeatability than a standard single-color product.
Novelty & Custom Shape Bath Bombs
Novelty bath bombs can include hearts, stars, seasonal designs and fully customized molds to help a product stand out at retail. More complex shapes should also be evaluated for mold release, drying and transport durability.
Bath Bomb Gift Sets
Several fragrances, colors or shapes can be combined into coordinated bath bomb gift sets. The internal packaging needs to protect individual products while keeping the final presentation consistent with the brand's retail positioning.

Custom Bath Bomb Formula Development
A commercial bath bomb formula needs to balance fizz performance, structural strength, fragrance, color and storage stability.
The basic effervescent system is only the starting point. Binder level, oils, butters, fragrance, moisture, colorants and botanicals can all influence how the product behaves during molding, drying, packaging and storage. For a closer look at commonly used bases, oils, fragrances and specialty additives, see our bath bomb ingredients guide.
For a faster private label launch, a brand can begin with an existing formula direction and customize fragrance, color, appearance and packaging. More differentiated projects may require adjustments to fizz duration, hardness, oil level, sensory feel or visual performance.
During sample development, the target is not simply to make the bath bomb fizz. Fizz speed and duration, structural hardness, fragrance release, color dispersion and the bathwater experience should work together according to the intended positioning.
We also pay attention to practical problems that may appear later in production, such as cracking, crumbling, softness, premature reaction, weak fizz, excessive residue, color bleeding or changes caused by humidity.
A product that performs well in a first sample still needs to remain stable enough for commercial molding, wrapping, warehousing and long-distance shipment.

Custom Bath Bomb Shapes, Colors & Visual Effects
Bath bomb design affects more than shelf appearance.
Shape, size and visual effects can influence mold requirements, drying behavior, breakage risk and production consistency, so the design needs to be evaluated together with the formula.
Standard spheres generally provide the greatest production flexibility. Hearts, stars, donuts, seasonal designs and other novelty shapes can create stronger differentiation, while a fully custom mold may be suitable for brands that want a more recognizable product silhouette.
Color can also become part of the product experience. Solid colors, layered designs, hidden color cores, swirls and rainbow effects can be developed according to the intended concept.
Botanical decoration or surprise inserts may be added to selected designs where they are technically and commercially appropriate.
More complex shapes and visual effects should always be evaluated for mold release, drying, breakage and repeatability. A concept that works for one handmade prototype may need adjustment before it is suitable for commercial-scale production.

Custom Bath Bomb Packaging
Bath bomb packaging has to manage moisture protection, physical protection and retail presentation at the same time.
Because bath bombs react to moisture and may chip or crumble during transport, packaging should be selected together with the formula and shipping method rather than left until the final stage of the project.
Individual wraps or sealed formats can help reduce humidity exposure and fragrance loss. Boxes, tubes and fitted trays can provide additional protection against impact, while gift sets need internal structures that prevent individual bath bombs from moving and colliding during shipment.
Common packaging directions include individual wraps, flow or shrink wrap, paper boxes, window cartons, tubes, pouches, fitted trays and multi-piece gift boxes.
For customized projects, we recommend evaluating the actual bath bomb inside the proposed package. An attractive empty box does not necessarily provide enough moisture or breakage protection for the finished product.
Packaging structure protects the product, while retail label content has a different set of requirements. See our guide on how to label bath bombs for ingredient lists, net weight and label layout considerations.

Private Label, Custom Development, MOQ & Sampling
Different bath bomb projects require different levels of customization, so the most efficient development route depends on formula, mold, packaging and launch timing.
Private Label
Private label is a practical option for brands seeking a faster route to market with an existing formula and standard product shape. Fragrance, color, label and packaging can still be customized without rebuilding the complete product from the beginning.
Custom Development
Custom development is better suited to brands requiring distinctive formulas, custom shapes, multi-color effects, novelty inserts or more specialized packaging.
MOQ
MOQ is influenced not only by the bath bomb formula but also by custom molds, printed packaging, inserts and the number of SKUs.
A standard sphere using an existing formula and standard packaging normally follows a simpler production route than a multi-color custom shape requiring a new mold and printed gift box. For this reason, MOQ should be confirmed against the actual project rather than presented as one fixed number for every bath bomb.
Samples
Existing samples can support initial quality evaluation, while custom samples can be prepared once the main formula, fragrance, color, shape and packaging direction have been discussed.
Production Lead Time
Lead time varies according to development complexity, mold requirements, sampling and packaging. Final timing is confirmed after the product and packaging specifications have been approved. If you are planning a new product line, see our guide to starting a private label bath bomb brand, covering product positioning, customization, packaging and OEM/ODM development.
How We Manufacture Private Label Bath Bombs
Commercial bath bomb manufacturing requires control over both formula condition and physical handling.

Production begins with raw material preparation and dry blending. Fragrance, oils, color and other liquid components are then introduced according to the approved formula so the mixture reaches the required condition for molding.
The prepared mixture is transferred into the selected mold or pressing system. Compression needs to create enough structural strength for demolding and packaging without making the product excessively dense or changing its intended fizz behavior.
After molding, the bath bombs are carefully demolded and moved through the required drying or conditioning stage. Product weight, hardness, appearance and performance can then be reviewed against the approved specification before packaging begins.
The finished bath bombs are wrapped or packed according to the agreed moisture-protection, retail and shipping requirements.
The exact manufacturing controls vary by product. A standard round bath bomb and a multi-layer custom shape with botanicals or surprise inserts should not be treated as identical production projects. For a closer look at mixing, molding, drying and finished-product control, explore our bath bomb manufacturing process.

Bath Bomb Quality Control & Stability
Commercial production needs to remain close to the approved sample throughout the batch.
We therefore pay attention to structural consistency together with appearance, fragrance and fizz performance. Bath bombs need enough hardness to withstand demolding, handling and packaging, but the product should still deliver the intended dissolution and fizz experience.
Multi-color and decorative designs may require additional visual checks because layer placement, surface finish and color consistency are part of the product itself.
Humidity is another important consideration. Premature reaction, softening or surface changes may occur if bath bombs are exposed to unsuitable moisture conditions before they are sealed.
Packaging is also part of the final quality evaluation. A stable bath bomb can still arrive damaged if the wrap, tray or carton does not provide enough moisture and physical protection during warehousing and transportation.
For this reason, the finished retail unit—not only the unwrapped bath bomb—is considered during final inspection.
