During Chinese New Year, I got an inquiry from a new customer interested in our shampoo bars. After sending a quote, they had some questions.
"I got samples from other suppliers. How come your shampoo bar is smaller but costs more?"
I said each maker uses different molds. Ours has a special needle shape that's popular due to its unique design and easy handheld use.
The customer went quiet, then surprisingly ordered 1,500 without a sample. They said they liked our professionalism and trusted our reputation, so felt okay ordering untested.
We happily closed the deal, with the customer taking a chance on us and our product. Wasn't expecting a sale during the holidays, but we'll take it!
