How To Clean A Jade Roller

What started as an ancient beauty practice in Chinese medicine is now a ubiquitous skincare tool that's proliferating at an exponential rate on beauty shelves and Instagram. And there's no sign of this trend stopping anytime soon.

Not only does it feel pleasant on the skin, but jade rolling has major skin-enhancing benefits: eliminating puffiness, improving circulation and promoting that all-important lymphatic drainage. But! While everyone is rolling as if their radiant skin depends on it, a question comes to mind: should you ...... Wash your tools? After all, your skin is an organ that produces oils, absorbs pollution and is exposed to many environments.

As I suspected, the answer is yes. Jade rollers are very delicate - use them with care and gentle pressure. It is recommended that they be wiped clean after each use. Residual dust particles can collect on the tool - plus, you don't want to spread any bacteria back to your skin.

If you're not the type of person who is diligent about cleaning your beauty tools, once a week is fine. Clean them once a week, but it is recommended that any client with acne or skin problems clean them after each use.

Simply wash with a mild soap and pat dry. Be sure to store it in a mild climate: do not expose your jade roller to extreme temperature changes as you may damage them, and this is an important precautionary action if you want to keep yours in the refrigerator for additional puff removal. So treat your roller basically the same as you would a make-up.

Method 1- Use soap and water Before doing the actual cleaning, use a dry cloth to wipe off any dirt from the outer surface. Make a soap solution with warm water, dip another soft cloth or towel into the solution, and wipe the roller clean. When finished, place the roller on a dry cloth until it is completely dry. Alternatively, you can submerge the jade roller in warm soapy water for a few seconds and wipe it clean.

Method 2- Using Topical Alcohol To deep clean the roller and ensure complete sterility, you can use topical alcohol. However, we would like to mention that using alcohol on the jade may damage it. To continue cleaning, spray some topical alcohol on the jade roller and wipe it clean. Place it on a dry cloth until it is completely dry. Alternatively, you can dip the jade roller into the topical alcohol for a few seconds and wipe it clean.
