Some customers are reluctant to pay for the sample fee, requesting either free samples or insisting on paying only the cost price based on the bulk order. In fact, this sample fee is company policy, not something we arbitrarily charge. Typically, it is three times the cost unit price.
So why do we charge this sample fee? Firstly, it's to prevent some peers from posing as customers, taking samples to replicate designs, measure dimensions, and create their own products. It's to safeguard originality. Secondly, it serves as a primary means of filtering customers and testing their intentions because business is a mutual selection process. Moreover, when we create a sample, the cost is incurred regardless of the quantity ordered.
Additionally, let me clarify that upon reaching a bulk order under our quoted terms, we will fully refund this sample fee. Our intention is not centered around the sample fee; rather, it's to assess the sincerity and capability of the customer. Just as customers choose their supply chain, manufacturers also choose their cooperative partners.
For first-time collaborations, the sample fee is inevitable. However, I will strive to negotiate for more support and discounts in the prices of our collaborated orders.
