Instructions:
In a large mixing bowl, combine 1 cup of baking soda, 1/2 cup of citric acid, 1/2 cup of Epsom salt, and 1/2 cup of cornstarch.
Mix 1-2 teaspoons of your chosen essential oil(s) and a few drops of food coloring (if desired) in a separate bowl.
Slowly add the essential oil mixture to the dry ingredients, using a whisk or fork to combine. It is important to mix slowly and evenly to avoid activating the citric acid too quickly.
Using a spray bottle, lightly mist the mixture with water while stirring continuously. You should aim for the mixture to stick together when squeezed in your hand, but not be too wet.
Quickly press the mixture into the molds, filling them about halfway. Press firmly and compactly to make sure the mixture is tightly packed.
Let the bath bombs dry for at least 24 hours in a dry place before removing them from the molds.
Once the bath bombs are dry, gently remove them from the molds and store them in an airtight container until you're ready to use them.
